Flipping through the pages that Amazon allows me to see, I have to say I really enjoyed her poetry; the alliteration and internal rhyme create a somewhat feline sort of rhythm, bouncing along with soft and deliberate steps. She flows in and out of meter to create a rather lyrical type of free verse. The ironic thing is that here in the US, editors & publishers seem to be so adamant about proper meter and perfect rhyme…this book shows that imagery and emotion are just as important!
Fabulous book, well deserving of the award!
