		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m a poet, a past English teacher, and currently a high school librarian who still gets to hold poetry workshops in my school. The Common Core will depend on the intelligence of teachers. I have faith in that. I do not have faith in the testing industry that is about &quot;measuring&quot; progress. One of the greatest lessons in the folly of measuring came from King Lear. Poetry&#039;s gift to the reader is a kind of emotional intelligence and that, my friends, cannot be measured.]]></description>
